The 2013 Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) pledges appear to have dropped about 18% in comparison with pledge totals from the 2012 campaign. Our estimate is based on reports from 55 local administrative zones including 19 zones with pledges over $1 million.

On the heels of news that donations were down last year in the Combined Federal Campaign and the United Way, we learned last week that people are also volunteering less.
In case you hadn’t heard, it looks like a bad year for the CFC. Although the official results are still being tallied, all available information indicates that pledges to the 2013 CFC were down significantly from 2012.
Today we’re discussing what the new regs say about how federations collect their fees from member charities.
