The 2018 CFC is underway. Kick-off events and solicitation are now underway around the country. If you are a member of the Workplace Giving Alliance and want quick notice of the events, please register.

The launch of the 2018 campaign coincided with the release of our annual report on CFC pledge results. This time, we focused on the 2017 campaign. You may find the report here.
The results of the 2017 CFC were profoundly disappointing, as anyone following the CFC already knows. In 2017, pledges dropped to $101 million; participation dropped to about 4 percent of the workforce (civilian and military).

We surely hope that the 2018 results will be better than 2017. The good news is that the campaign launched on September 10, as planned, and will run through January 11, 2019 (last year, kick-off events started at late as the first week of January for a campaign ending later in that same month). Employees are in fact pledging this year; we just cannot yet project overall numbers. Later this fall, we will have preliminary results for the 2018 campaign.

We think there is hope for the future of the campaign, but its revival will require engagement from multiple stakeholders. Many improvements have been made between the 2017 CFC and the 2018 CFC, but there is more to be done.

We hope you will engage with our report, send us your feedback, and make your voice heard.
