Virtual Platform Webex There are new virtual opportunities for local (there will be other opportunities for national and international charities) charities located in the NorCal CFC Zone to share their story with the federal community. Every other Tuesday at 10:30 AM PST the NorCal CFC zone will host “Cause Talk”, similar in format to a TED Talk. This event allows 2-3 charities to talk for approximately 10 minutes each about their organizations, how CFC has impacted them and the community, and encourages federal employees ‘tuning in’ (all will be invited to do so) to donate to charities that are meaningful to them.
To give all charities the opportunity to participate, the weekly Cause Talks will focus on specific areas. The Cause of the Week topics are listed below. Please take a moment to look them over and register. If your charity works with a variety of the weekly causes, you can sign up for them all. To ensure equal opportunity for all charities, a random selection process will take place to identify the charities for that particular week’s talk. Registration for each Cause Talk closes on Tuesday of the previous week, with an email confirmation sent the next day. As an added means to engage attendees, charities chosen are asked to submit 2 questions/answers to be included in the Kahoot! game section at the end of the event. 3-Nov-20 Medical Research & Arts/Culture Click Here 17-Nov-20 Education & Military Support Click Here 1-Dec-20 Children/Family Services & Public Safety Click Here 15-Dec-20 Global Health & Housing/Shelter Click Here 29-Dec-20 Faith-Based & Environmental Protection Click Here 12-Jan-21 Mental Health & Animal Welfare Click Here There are several opportunities to connect with federal employees as part of the Southern California CFC's ‘Lunch and Learn’ series. Panelists will have an opportunity to introduce their organization and work, answer questions from the moderator, and participate in a Q&A with attending federal employees. These events are open to any federal employee in the Southern California zone.

Tribal Tech is the Outreach Coordinator for the following CFC zones:
In preparation for the 2020 CFC event season, they need you to identify which of their thirteen CFC zones you have a point of contact (POC) ready and able to participate in local campaign events by completing this webform. You will then be invited to attend a charity participation briefing and be eligible to receive event invitations in the zones for which you provided a POC. The deadline for completing the webform is September 23, 2020. Kaptivate is excited to unveil a new, simplified system to discover and sign up for events in Kaptivate-managed zones in 2020. While the current pandemic will likely reduce the number of in-person events, they will still offer many opportunities to engage and share your story without the need for travel. Click on the links below for each zone's event page:
If you are unsure which zone you are in, please visit givecfc.org and enter your zip code into the search bar on the right. Your zone name will appear on the top of the page you are linked to by entering your zip code. Once you find the event(s) you’d like to participate in and submit your registration, watch for an email from the Kaptivate CFC Events Team confirming your participation. In order to ensure all charities have an equal opportunity to participate, charities will be randomly selected for participation after the registration period has closed. Only those charities who receive written confirmation of their selection will be allowed to participate. |
