Dear CFC Non-Profit:
We need your help. The ongoing federal government shutdown puts a damper on the CFC charity drive, yet federal employees continue to give. One important story we want to share during this time is how the very non-profit organizations (like yours!) that federal employees have supported through the years are there to help them as they find themselves without pay for several weeks.
Since we cannot communicate directly with federal employees during the shutdown, we need to tell this story in other ways, including the press. We need our federal employees to know that local charities like yours are there to support them through hard times, providing individuals and families with basic needs such as food, clothing, home repair, tutoring and more. Whether it's short-term or long-term assistance, if you are assisting federal employees right now, please share any stories, facts, data that you can. This will also help inspire those whose agencies are not shut down to continue giving.
The CFC drive is scheduled to end on January 11, so please share any information you can as quickly as possible!
