Summary
The Missouri State Employees Charitable Campaign, MSECC, is the only authorized workplace giving campaign offered to Missouri state employees.  In the past 2 years, MSECC raised approximately $2.1 million for participating charitable organizations. MSECC operates in a 2 year cycle, and the next application deadline will be February 28th, 2013.

Eligibility Requirements
Note: This is a summary of the eligibility requirements for admittance to MSECC.  Contact the Campaign Manager for a copy of the full regulations and application. 

To gain access to the MSECC an organization must:

  • Be recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) organization
  • File form 990 with the Internal Revenue Service
  • Commission a full-scale audit by an independent CPA.  If gross revenue is under $100,000, the organization  must have a certified financial statement signed by an authorized officer 
  • Be governed by an independent board of directors, meeting at least quarterly, the majority of whom serve without compensation
  • Be in good standing and duly registered with the State of Missouri’s Office of the Secretary of State
  • Have a stated policy of nondiscrimination
  • Produce an annual report, made available to the public, that describes the organization’s activities and identifies board members and chief administrative personnel
