California State Employees Charitable Campaign (CSECC)

Summary

The California State Employees Charitable Campaign, CSECC, is the only legally authorized workplace giving campaign offered to State of California employees.  CSECC raised approximately $7.2 million for qualified charities last year.  CSECC has very few eligibility requirements making it one of the easiest state campaigns to enter.

Eligibility Requirements

To gain access to the CSECC an organization must:

  • Be recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) organization
  • Be qualified as “exempt” under section 23701(d) of the California Revenue and Taxation Code
  • Must certify that they comply with California Fair Employment and Housing Act, Part 2.8, commencing with section 12900.
